ND Eagle Lentil
An Eston-type small green lentil, ND Eagle was released in 2016. Rights to the production and distribution of the seed are obtained by the NDCISA.
Based on the 2011-2017 NDSU lentil trial results, ND Eagle has a high yield potential in North Dakota environments. This variety has an excellent agronomic performance and matures one to two days earlier than check varieties. ND Eagle is of average height and has a semi-erect plant habit. Though the seed is small, ND Eagle is within the acceptable range of the small green lentil market class. The see is high quality with no observations of speckled variants.
To help ensure genetic purity, ND Eagle is protected under Plant Variety Protection Title V and must be sold as a class of certified seed.
