OAT
ND Spilde
Jury Oat
ND Spilde is a spring oat with good yield potential, low proportion of thin kernels, unique crown rust resistance, and good test weight. ND Spilde exhibited very good grain yield (110%) of Leggett and usually the highest yielding variety in North Dakota Oat Variety Trials. The large white kernels with a low proportion of thin kernels should be attractive to the oat milling industry. The milling industry requested large kernels and low thin proportion to improve milling efficiency. ND Spilde has good lodging resistance and is relatively late flowering.
