The North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station released Souris oat seed in 2006 and the NDCISA has obtained the rights to the production and distribution of this variety. With a high yield potential and test weight, Souris performs well under a variety of growing conditions.
In order to ensure genetic purity, Souris is protected under Plant Variety Protection Title V and must be sold as a class of certified seed.
